JV and Varsity We will be hosting our annual Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser at OPHS on January 16, 2013, 6:30-8:30pm. Cheerleaders should plan to be available from 5:00-9pm!!

There will be a winter season parent meeting on December 3 a 6pm followed by an ECIC parent committee meeting! Please plan to attend! Very important information will be shared!

JV AND VARSITY CHEERLEADERS AND PARENTS! **Effective immediately, the girls will be attending gymnastics on WEDNESDAYS from 3:30-5:30pm.It is MANDATORY that they ride the school provided shuttle to this practice location.  The bus will leave OP at 2:45 on Wednesdays and return back to the high school around 6:15pm . **MAJOR CHANGE: The girls will now be practicing 4:30-6:30 at WNY Outlaws on  THURSDAYS . This will  go into effect 11/29, after Thanksgiving. It is MANDATORY that they ride the school provided shuttle to this practice location.  The bus will leave OP at 3:45 on Wednesdays and return back to the high school around 7:15pm .  Please check your emails for specific instructions for each team!

Your Quaker football team will take on The Christian Brothers Academy Brothers on Saturday, November 17 at 6pm at Sahlen's Stadium in Rochester NY. Please plan to leave Orchard Park at 4pm. We will stop for food on the way home. GO QUAKERS!!

There will be a MANDATORY parent meeting for VARSITY PARENTS ONLY on OCTOBER 26, 2012 at 6:00 at OPHS. We will be discussing details for the upcoming competition season and various fundraisers. Please plan to attend.  In the (unlikely) event there is an away football game, we will reschedule for the following week. Please check back for exact meeting location.

What a perfect day and THANK YOU to all the parents that helped out in any way last weekend! As we enter October please remember to check the calendar often! Choreography and gymnastics begin this month! Thank you again!

Varsity: October 12, 6:00pm JV: October 4, 5:45pm Both teams will meet at the football field in FULL UNIFORMS! You may wear your hair down. You may also order individual or group photos, we will distribute forms this week!

IMPORTANT! 9/22 JV football game ha been rescheduled for 10am! UPDATE: Please plan meet at the field at 8:00am to make decorations for homecoming!! Bring posters, markers, glitter, crepe paper, etc and $2 for the captains!!

OPHS Cheerleading will be volunteering at the Friends of the Night People soup kitchen on Sunday, November 4 from 4:00-8:00pm. Please plan to attend. We will need a few parents to help as well. Please contact us if you are interested. More details to come!

ALL candy money is due FRIDAY 9/21! No exceptions! Any girl who does not turn in money will sit the bench. Both teams!

The cheerleaders will be hosting a booth at the homecoming tailgate party on September 29 at 10am-1pm. We need an idea for a booth-- should we sell tattoos? cotton candy? Should we do a game like pies in the face? Everyone needs to think of a creative fun idea for the tailgate party. What would you like to see there?! Also, We need 4 parents to volunteer to supervise for the morning. Please let Coach Jill or Coach Lauren know.

Please wear your uniforms to school tomorrow with a black body suit and sneakers! Let's meet at 3:45 outside of the gym at the high school!! See you then!

BOTH teams had great practices today!! We are really excited about the potential you guys have! We may seem a little tough but it's because we know you guys are capable of so much!! -coach J and coach L

Practice will be at EGGERT today 3:45-6:45 for Varsity and 5:30-7:30 for JV. There's a shuttle at 3:30 on the Freeman side to take you there. JV is welcome to take the shuttle and watch Varsity or do homework or something until your practice starts! See you all later!

Girls you may want to stop and get a clear (try to find a see through one that's not cloudy) poncho for the game, just in case! Also, bring a pair of ankle socks and leggins. It could get cold tonight and you may want to put them on! You might want to bring a garbage bag to put your cheer bag in also!! Lastly, let's meet at 5:15 on the Freeman side. The grass will be too wet to practice. Bus is set to leave at 5:30. See you then!

Ok, I guess everyone wants to wear body suits to school, so we are all wearing black under our shells!!

Sorry for having to cancel practice last minute in Tues, thanks for understanding! I will see you all Thursday at 3:45 in the wrestling room at the high school. We will then meet around 4:00 pm on Saturday for our away game against Clarence. See you all then! :)

There will be a mandatory parent meeting for all 2012 Fall Athletes on WEDNESDAY AUGUST 29 at 6pm, OPHS Auditorium. We will meet with the Athletic Director, Mr. Dave Hack to discuss school rules and regulations then break up into individual sport meetings. Each girl must have a parent/adult present. We will be discussing various important topics for the season.

Congratulations! Welcome to the 2012-2013 OPHS Varsity and JV Cheerleading Squads! You should all be very proud of yourselves! Please plan to be at Eggert Elementary tomorrow morning at 8am for your first practice. We will be discussing team rules and regulations, going over your August practice schedule, and getting to know each other a little better. If you have no done so yet, please visit the Athletics Webpage  and print out the "Informed Consent" form, have your parents sign it, and bring it with you tomorrow. Very Impressed with everyone today! We can tell you have been practicing! Varsity, don't worry that you only had one day; show us what we already know you can do! Here is the tryout music and the words to the cheer are in the post below! Remember to wear a fitted t-shirt/tank top and black maroon grey or white shorts!! We'll see you guys tomorrow morning, 8:00am!

You've made it through Day One of tryouts!! Please continue to practice all of the material for tomorrow! I'm really excited about the talent and potential this team has! Tomorrow will consist of cheer and dance review, tumbling and stunting. Don't forget to bring water! See you at 8am!  Cheer: Maroon Black and White The colors you fear! Thanks everyone who came out to the car wash today! We raised $800 over the two days, even though we had lousy weather! Save the signs and supplies for the next one! VARSITY will have a third car wash SEPTEMBER 22, same time, same place.  Tryouts are MONDAY!!! We are really excited to get started so please come ready to work! Report to EGGERT ELEMENTARY by 8:00AM MONDAY MORNING to register with Coach Lauren and the assistants. We will meet for 15 minutes and discuss what the tryout will be like!  Bring a water bottle and a light snack!  See you bright and early!!

Don't forget our last car wash will be this Saturday, August 11 at 10am at Valvoline on Southwestern Blvd! Lets hope for clear skies and sunshine!! Don't forget to bring your supplies and signs again!! 

UPDATE! TRYOUT LOCATION HAS BEEN CHANGED! Tryouts will be held at EGGERT ELEMENTARY on 8/13-8/15. All summer practices will be held at Eggert Elementary until further notice. Please plan accordingly.  

Day one of tryouts is just around the corner. Completed parent permission forms and physical forms are due in the Athletic Office no later than Thursday, 8/9 at 12 noon. No exceptions!! We will start promptly at 8:15 so please be on time to register.
